This classic boogie-woogie left-hand bass pattern is simple. But it is NOT easy. This piece takes a lot of dedication and work to master. I know this very well having played it in various keys for over 40 years! But let me say this; it is perhaps the most gratifying song in my repertoire that, especially when played spontaneously, and when in an environment that such a performance is unexpected, everyone, and I mean everyone, goes gaga!!

Yes the word I used is gaga. And for good reason. People love this groove even though they do not fully appreciate the difficulty in mastering the bass pattern.

This is not a tune for beginners but we will certainly step interested players into the appropriate level to begin the process to performing it. One of my favorite tunes of all time. Maybe yours eventually?
