This wonderful 8-Bar Progression in the key of Eb is an example of high level New Orleans style in the manner of Dr. John, James Booker, Henry Butler and others. In my humble opinion, Jon Cleary could be crowned the current King of New Orleans music with his incredible voice, and piano depth and dexterity. All these talents have been major influences on me and my playing. These legends are so worth seeking out and listening to.

The example I played is at a high intermediate to advanced level. I wanted to illustrate the level that can eventually be achieved but also now let you know that we would begin with the basic form and layer more advanced and creative enhancements over time.
